Sort of like Indiana John Paul Jones. Las Vegas seems to have an especially strong attraction in that it is/was a mystery date and also the city itself holds a mystique and energy about itself. I've always thought it would be great if someone published a coffee table book chronicling the venues in which Zep played;photos of the actual houses of the holy. That very well may be the case,Steve. However, I didn't get that impression with her. She mentioned the book as an afterthought and I don't believe she's pressed for money or wanting recognition.

And to clarify,her book will encompass her work over 5 yrs-including the other bands she's worked among. So it's definitely not going to be focused strictly on Zep with a 'Zep Exposed' type of tone.

I have heard from her since my last post-the most recent this morning. But it's more pleasantries and nothing Zep-related. I think I'll keep in touch and maybe there will be a time in the future when she's more forthcoming with her Zep stories. Here's some stuff to share. That is a cool story. To make a long story short, I had a very brief enounter with him in front of the venue. He was sneaking out and waiting for his ride to arrive. He walked right in front of me and I blurted out 'Mr Jones,may I please have an autograph?' He politely declined as he was trying to get in to his cab and avoid the rush of fans had he been discovered sneaking out the front door. It was a very short encounter but very cool. I wish he had signed his autograph for me,of course but he wasn't rude or anything. A total gentleman who just didn't have the time at the moment.

I would love to see any of JPJ's solo material on an officially released CD/DVD. To digress,I've always thought it would be interesting if Zep released their back catalog in USB format. There could be each album on a USB in a multitude of shapes and sizes.including bonus art worktext etc. They could even make each USB cover the same as the original album.

Maybe that hasn't been explored as that option would diminish the music itself. However,since all songs are already available in digital format through iTunes,a USB album would only be a convenient,if novel, container for the same music-offering the additional material ( photos,stories,interviews etc).

I was at this show! I can be seen in the video for about 1/10th second towards the end. I waited out side the venue for hours and was the first one in. During the day,I believe JPJ walked right past me and I didn't realize it until after the fact! I visited a really cool guitar shop across the street and hoped he would also come in but to no avail. During the February 2002 Rockline radio show, I asked Mr Jones if he had plans for releasing any audio or video from his solo album and tour.

He said yes he did have plans to release both video and audio from his solo tours-or words to that effect. I have this radio show on CD somewhere in storage.
