Shimmering clean tones to extra-thick distortion! The Kustom Quad 65DFX 2-Channel Combo features lead and rhythm channels (footswitchable with optional footswitch) with 2 high-gain preamp choices in the lead channel and 2 clean preamp selections in the rhythm channel. The 65W guitar amplifier pumps your sound through a 12' Celestion and is fully tweakable with dual 3-band EQ and a complement of 8 - 24-bit digital effects. The speaker cabinet's lead channel offers a boost switch. A CD/tape input lets you riff with your favorite prerecorded sounds. This amp is a great deal.
I didn't really like the distortion, but you can just crank up the gain all the way and hit the boost and it does the trick. That might just be me though, since I like a lot of distortion. I recommend using the lead channel as a distortion channel and using the rhythm channel as a clean channel. The effects are really good and if you're looking for just a good amp with some effects, this is the one to get. Overall, this amp was a great deal and it does the trick for practice or small venues like a club or something. For the price you can't really go wrong. I've had the amp for a few months and it's held up well.
I play at low volume in the house and turn it up for practive/live use with satisfactory results either way. The effects are alright, but I don't really use them except for hall reverb and chorus on clean. The clean channel sounds very good and the lead channel sounds nice for solos and such. It does lack a little distortion for metal, but it's alright for most other kinds of rock. My only complaint is the fizz at high volume and the lack of distortion, but otherwise, it's a pretty nice amp. LOUD LOUD LOUD.The amp has a great value for the buck. Fit and finish is flawless.
Inputs, loops and back panel options are great! Did I mention loud?
The crunch comes at high volums only so be prepared to crank it past five to get the tone. Plants vs zombies warfare full version pc no survey. Low volumes ring clear and bright. Effect as some of the best I tried especially spring reverb. Instruction manuel is sparse.
Very few details or wiring layouts. When the volum is over five there is some white noise In the background but does not effect the tone when the amp is being driven. Has both effects loop inputs but I chose to feed my drum tones into the CD input from my AX100G. Did I mention louder than any 65w amp I tried? I is really a four chanel amp when you add in the preamp options. Footswitch switches channels and effects on and off. Hardware is of the best quality.

Knobs feel solid and everything is mounted perfectly. The box it came in was beat up pretty bad so be sure to check your shipment. Mine was fine. The lows this thing kicks out could not be handled by anything less than the celestion speaker the mounted in it. Other than a little white noise it is perfect. I've had this amp for about 3 weeks now and have played through it with a Tele, Epi Les Paul and an old Guild Starfire 4. The dirty channel is OK, not great, although the boost button certainly does what it's supposed to if you're into really rattling overdrive.
The clean channel is great. Crystal clear and plenty loud for small gigs or practice.
The footswitch is still back-ordered but it'll be cool to be able to go between channels and kill the effects when necessary. The amp looks very retro and the Celestion 12' sounds sweet, especially in the lo-mids and the highs. The effects are ok. The tremelo and the hall reverb are pretty nice but you can do better with pedals for the other 6 choices.
Kustom Quad 65 Service Manual Review
The grill is more like a yellow/wheat color, different and better looking than the photos you'll find on the web. The control panel is very cool looking too - shiny chrome knobs with brite blue indicator lights. Kustom makes some good stuff and this amp is a total steal for the price. I have the Kustom 200DFX Quad head which I love, so it wanted this amp for portability. Great design and it rocks! Nice warm bottom end like a tube amp.
Plenty of bass which you can turn down (other amps with no bass will never sound full because the bass is lacking to begin with). Distortion is articulate with plenty of gain which is enough for me. I turn the gain all the way up (like Marshall's) and it's perfect for sustain and clarity. This amp will not produce insane distortion levels which I think are mushy and thin at loud levels anyway. It can produce a tight low crunch which will shake the room! The effects are handy with the reverb and hall extremely accurate. My only gripe (are you reading this Kustom?) are the shiny knobs which I swapped out for black knobs with white markers to see the control panel settings.
